With the explosion of available data, cognitive systems can learn, reason, and more effectively interact with users and their surrounding environments. It allows for higher levels of collaboration between humans and systems. These collaborative networks are the focus of the PRO-VE Conference, which will take place on September 17-19, 2018.

Corentin Kuster, a researcher from Cardiff University, will present a paper on collaborative network for district energy operation and semantic technologies on the last day of the conference. This paper was written under the THERMOSS project and considers THERMOSS from the viewpoint of collaborative networks. In conclusion, a key pre-requisite for THERMOSS as a collaborative network for energy balance optimisation is an efficient information exchange across domain and organisations.
